My love

There is a saying that claims "Absense makes the heart grow fonder." and in the past week I have felt the impact of that statement. I am currently writing this blog from the quaint town of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Nearly one week ago, Shaelana and I flew from Tucson, Arizona to Memphis, Tennessee and then stayed in Olive Branch, Mississippi for a few days before driving here to Shawnee. We are on this adventure to help my grandmother out as she makes her way to Arizona by lending her our company! While this has been an incredible vacation and a wonderful opportunity to see and spend time with my grandmother, aunt, uncle, and cousins whom I haven't seen in a very long time, it has also been a time away from my darling husband, Brandon. This is the first time since we have been married that we have ever been apart and it is also Shaelana's first time away from her Daddy. I must say that she has been excellent and in very good spirits all things considered, and she was a gem on the airplane!!! However, as each day passes, I am increasingly missing the man who makes me whole. I just wanted to take this opportunity to acknowledge that, and the fact that I am so in love with him! While absense may make the heart grow fonder, I am certain that I didn't need this to prove that I would miss him. All the while, I am grateful that he has been such a supportive, understanding, and faithful husband and father to us. I am so lucky to have him and the love that we share!

Brandon, thank you for making this opportunity happen for us, and even more, thank you for loving me and being the man that you are! I love you endlessly!

That is so sweet! You should be a writer. You are really good at putting things into words. Anyways, I had no idea that you were gone. Email me when you get back and tell me all about it. I still have your box of scrapbook stuff. I was going to mail it but then it was going to cost a fortune so I thought that I'd keep it till I came to Tucson. Are you guys still moving to Colorado?

What a sweet post. I remember the first time Chris and I were apart; it is truly heart breaking.

Jason had to go away to school for a month and I was 5 months pregnant, and very emotional! It was rough, but it really makes you realize how much you love them and how much apart of home they are.
